Once again this year, Pittsburgh Chickenistas will open their backyards for you to explore and learn about the wonderful world of urban chickenkeeping! On this self guided tour, you can visit a variety of coops - from basic and functional to artsy and funky. You’ll see a variety of breeds and pick-up helpful tips from local chicken coop owners. Look for other backyard sustainable projects: organic gardening, compositing, rain barrels, solar, beekeeping and certified wildlife habitats. Proceeds Benefit Tree Pittsburgh.
